Due to their ruggedness and solid state design, re-calibration and maintenance are kept to a minimum. The Kern DKM2-A is a workhorse in many optical tooling and alignment applications where purely an optical environment is desired and where bulky spatial electronic measuring devices are not practical.
The DKM2-A and its variants can be considered the most accurate and best ever built 1" of arc optical theodolite. Available in several versions, including with pre-loaded vertical and horizontal axes systems for inclined or hanging applications.
